Wedding invitation price with accommodation: what you pay

Three weeks before the wedding, your cousin rings to ask which hotel she's in. She hasn't booked one. Neither has her brother, and the two of them are sending each other screenshots of booking sites while you're meant to be sorting out the seating plan.

The room is a separate bill, and most people understand that. What they don't have is one place that tells them where to sleep, how far it is from the venue and when to book by. That's what a wedding invitation with accommodation details is for — and the invitation price is a much smaller, much clearer number than the hotel one.

What the wedding invitation price with accommodation doesn't cover

If the wedding is a two-hour drive from home, the room is a cost for the guest or for you as hosts. Either way, it's settled with the hotel, not with the invitation. The invitation is where the practical bits go: hotel name, street address, check-in time, a deadline to book by, and the map so nobody ends up ringing you from a car park. You write those in the text and place fields of a scene. And to be clear about the limits: holding a block of rooms or agreeing a discount code is a conversation with the hotel. The invitation doesn't do it.

  • Room, breakfast and the extra night are paid to the hotel.
  • Hotel name, street address, check-in time and a booking deadline go in the text and place fields.
  • The map in the invitation shows the way, so nobody has to ring two cousins from a car park.
  • Room blocks and discount codes are agreed with the hotel, not through the invitation.

€29.99 per invitation, not per guest

Send The Joy costs €29.99 per invitation. One payment, no subscription, and the price doesn't change when the guest list grows from 60 to 90. You get a web page of your own, with scenes that follow one another, up to six of your own photos, music, and the RSVP form inside the same invitation.

Guests install nothing. They open the link in the browser on their phone and reply from there. The site runs in seven languages — Spanish, English, Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese and German — and the invitation content can be set per language. You can test a design for free too: in trial mode you edit the cover without paying, and buying unlocks every scene.

What shouldn't cost you extra

Reprinting envelopes because a surname changed or a time moved: that disappears here. Edit the invitation after you've sent it and the link stays the same, so nobody gets a second message telling them to ignore the first. Replies arrive in one ordered list inside the invitation instead of across three group chats. You set the questions in the RSVP form yourself. It won't collect allergies or menu choices, because that isn't what it's for.

The bill that's still open

The hotel, the transport and the gift stay where they were. The invitation covers the page and the replies: €29.99 once, editable after sending, so what guests see is always the current version. If you want paper for the grandparents, the sensible move is to combine — the link for everyone, and a few printed copies for the people who will keep one.
