Your child wants to jump. You need everyone through the door with grip socks and a signed waiver. Here's what a trampoline park birthday invitation has to say.

It's 16:52 at a trampoline park birthday party and three families are stuck at the front desk. One boy has no grip socks. Another arrived with his older sister because his mum is still parking. The waiver needs an adult's full name, and the pen on the counter has run out.

Nobody did anything wrong. The invitation said five o'clock and gave an address, and that's all it said. Three details decide whether the first half hour runs or collapses: socks, the real arrival time, and who signs the waiver. Write them down before you book the pack, and check them with the park while you still can.

Grip socks come first at a trampoline park birthday

Trampoline parks don't let anyone on the mats without grip socks, and no two parks handle them the same way. Some include a pair in the party pack. Some sell them at reception, in child and adult sizes, and sometimes the size you need isn't there. Call ahead and ask, then put the answer on the invitation. This is the line parents read twice, because it decides what goes in the car.

  • Whether grip socks are included in the party pack or bought at reception, and which sizes they stock.
  • If everyone brings their own, spell it out: 'Bring grip socks' saves ten minutes of queueing at the door.
  • One RSVP question, nothing more: 'Bringing socks or buying them there?'
  • A wrong size is a child sitting out, so if the park needs numbers, ask for sizes with the RSVP.

Arrival time is not jump time

Between the front desk, the socks and the safety briefing, fifteen to twenty minutes disappear before anyone bounces. Write '17:00' on the invitation and half the group walks in at 17:00 and misses the first jump.

So give one line with real numbers: '16:45 arrive, 17:00 first jump, 18:15 pizza.' No paragraphs — parents read this on a phone in a car park. If the park sits inside a shopping centre, name the exact spot: 'Level 2, next to the bowling alley.' Let the map link finish the job.

The waiver needs an adult's full name

A parent or legal guardian signs it — never the birthday child, never an older sibling. Say it on the invitation so the message reaches whoever does the school run. Say whether the waiver is signed online before the day or on paper at reception. If it's paper, ask them to arrive knowing the full name of the adult who's signing, and leave a phone number on the invitation. If someone arrives without that adult, reception calls before letting anyone jump.

Get socks, arrival time and the signing adult onto the invitation, and the rest of a trampoline park birthday looks after itself.

Two RSVP questions cover both

Keep the form short: 'Is an adult jumping too?' and 'Are you bringing socks?' Both answers matter. An adult who jumps is an adult who can sign. Every confirmation lands in one ordered list inside the invitation, and that list is what you read out when the park asks for final numbers — not a WhatsApp thread and not a pile of voice notes. Before you book the pack, write the logistics down in the invitation itself: socks, arrival time, who signs. You can still change the time, the meeting point or the sock note on the same link the morning of the party.
