Baby shower
The baby shower color you actually like
It does not have to be the manual pink or blue. It has to be a color already in your home, repeated calmly, with few icons and one short line.

Manual pink and blue exist so nobody has to decide. That is why baby shower invitations all look alike. The color that works is one already somewhere in your home: the ceramic, a blanket, the green of a plant, the yellow of a cloth. You do not need to invent it. You need to recognize it and repeat it.
One color, used in the background and in a detail, reads better than a rain of pastels. Repetition gives calm. Calm, in a note like this, is what feels like care. If every corner has a different icon, the eye does not know where the name is.
A color that already lived at home
Leave air. A baby shower invitation does not need a bear, a cloud, a heart and a footprint. It needs the name or the nickname, the date and a color. Icons compete with the text. If you remove three and the page breathes, it was too full.
- A color already at home
- Few icons, lots of air
- Type you can read on a phone
- One line besides the facts
Fewer icons, more surface
Type can be simple. A clear letter, at a size you can read on a phone without pinching, beats a decorative round face that forces you to zoom. The color is already doing the work of “this is tender”. The letter only has to be readable.
A supporting photo, if you use one, can be a still life in that color: cloth, a branch, a bowl. A baby does not have to be in the picture, and often it is better if they are not. The still life says the taste of the house. A stock photo of tiny feet says the taste of the internet.

Fewer icons, more of you. A color from home is recognized before manual pink.
One line, not a slogan
Write one sentence besides the facts. “Come for lunch, no rush.” That is enough. Color and air do the rest. If you need a paragraph to explain the mood, the color is not working.
