Sunflower Field Wedding Invitations That Land

Honey yellow that reads in sunlight, a cover that shows the whole field, and RSVP answers in one list. How to build a sunflower wedding invitation that works.

The link arrives while your cousin is on the 8:15 bus, standing, one hand on the rail. She opens it and sees a close-up of a bouquet, then your names, then four lines about how grateful you are that everyone is coming. She scrolls once, closes the tab, and asks the group chat what time the ceremony starts.

A sunflower field wedding invitation has one job in that moment: tell her when to be where, and make her want to open it again on a bigger screen later.

Let honey yellow lead, and stem green hold it up

Honey yellow reads clearly on a phone in direct sunlight. Fluorescent yellow glares, and your eye slides off it in ten seconds. Put the names in stem green or off-white against that yellow, or the cover turns into one bright block with nothing to separate the date from the background. If you're marrying at eight in the evening, try cream with small sunflowers along the edges — strong yellow competes with orange sunset light.

  • Honey yellow for the label, stem green for the names.
  • Cream background for a sunset ceremony, stronger yellow for midday.
  • One element in off-white, so the cover has somewhere to rest.
  • Check the colours on your own phone, outdoors, not on a laptop indoors.

Sunflower field wedding invitations: the cover is the field

Use the wide shot — the field, the barn, the lane of trees. Guests open the link to recognise where they're going, not to guess which flower is on the card. The close-up of a single bloom works better in a later scene, next to the long table or the dancing.

You can upload up to six of your own photos and choose which one sits on the cover; the rest settle into the frames on their own. If you don't have pictures of the venue yet, start with one of the two of you in a sunflower field from a trip and swap it when you do. The link stays the same.

Put the phrase on one line, not in a paragraph

Text goes into separate fields: label, names, date, phrase, place. Write the phrase as one line — 'See you among the sunflowers' — and let the character counter warn you before you run past it. Save the longer message for the scene with the long table, where guests read with a drink in hand instead of standing on a bus.

The RSVP answers land in a list inside the invitation itself, with the questions you set, such as 'Are you bringing someone?' and 'Are you staying for dinner?' Each answer sits next to a name. No chasing replies in a group chat of forty people, and no app for anyone to install.

Sunflowers don't fit in an envelope. The invitation still has to land.

Change the time and nobody gets a second message

If the drinks move from 13:00 to 14:30, you edit the invitation and the link stays the same, so nobody gets a follow-up that looks like a mistake. Same for the map, the dress code and the phrase: guests see the update the next time they open it. Before you think about envelope colours — you won't need an envelope — decide what people see on that first screen, because that's where they understand the wedding happens in a sunflower field. Open the preview this afternoon, change the cover and the phrase, and send the link once it reads the way you want.
