Salsa Bachelorette Invitations: Dress Code in One Line

Low heel or smooth sole, fuchsia and turquoise for the group, off-white for the bride: the dress code for a salsa bachelorette, written in one line.

You are drafting the salsa bachelorette invitations this week and your mother-in-law has already asked twice what she should wear. You have not answered, because you have not decided either. The rooftop has a wooden floor, the party starts at six, and someone always turns up in heels she cannot dance in.

That is the whole problem. The dress code is not a style question, it is a practical one, and it needs to be on the invitation before the questions start.

Salsa bachelorette invitations: write the shoe first

Here is the line that saves the night. Write 'closed shoes with a smooth sole' instead of 'elegant'. It says exactly what works on a dance floor and takes four seconds to read. If the party is daytime and outdoors, add 'low heel or espadrille' — in Miami humidity a stiletto digs into the wood and does not turn. One more line covers the rest: 'bring a spare pair of shoes if you plan to dance to the end.'

  • Shoes: low heel, smooth sole or espadrille. No brand-new stilettos.
  • Palette: fuchsia and turquoise for the group, off-white only for the bride.
  • Clothes: linen shirt or sleeveless top, depending on whether the party is daytime or evening.
  • Extra: a spare pair of shoes and a flower for your hair for the last dance.

Two colours and one exception: the bride

Set a salsa palette, not a wedding one. Fuchsia and turquoise for everyone, off-white kept for the bride. Banning 'full white' is clearer than saying 'don't dress like the bride' — leave white for the hair flowers.

Keep it to one line: 'Fuchsia or mango for them, white shirt and dark trousers for him.' If you are planning a bachelorette in Miami with a dance floor, that line does more work than a paragraph of adjectives.

The dress code is one line, not a group chat.

What belongs on the invitation and what does not

Swap 'dress code: formal' for 'linen shirt, light trousers and dance shoes'. The first says nothing, the second can be followed. Each detail goes in its own field — label, names, date, phrase, place and dress code — and the character counter stops you writing an essay in the wrong box.

Sizes per person and colours assigned by name do not belong here. That is a WhatsApp message, not the invitation everyone opens. And when your mother-in-law asks again, the answer is already published: the dress code can be edited after you send it, the link stays the same, and anyone who opens it today sees the current version.

How the invitation reaches your guests

Share it with a link, a QR code or a message. Nobody installs anything — it opens in the phone browser and they reply from there. Send the QR to your story and the link to the cousins' group the same day, so two versions are not going around. You can upload up to six of your own photos: one from the last party together, one of the dress on its hanger, one of the terrace. They frame themselves.

Add a confirmation question like 'Are you joining the dance?' and the answers arrive in one ordered list inside the invitation. Before you argue about the colour of a shirt in the group chat, try the design for free and edit the cover without paying. Publish for 29,99 EUR, a one-off payment, and the dress code, the time and the map update without reprinting or resending anything.
