Retirement Invitations: Add a Calendar for Afterwards
The party lasts one evening; the plans afterwards last longer. Put both in a €29.99 digital invitation, in the same link your guests already have.

Someone hands back the office keys on a Friday. By Monday morning the diary is empty, and that first ordinary day is the part nobody plans for. Retirement invitations with a calendar for afterwards fix exactly that: you still announce the party, and you also add a scene with the plans that come next — the Monday coffee, the Wednesday walk.
Send The Joy builds your invitation as its own web page, shared with a link. You edit it in the browser, add scenes and publish when it's ready. The calendar isn't a separate product you buy somewhere else. It's one more scene inside the same €29.99 invitation.
What's in the €29.99 (and what isn't)
One payment of €29.99 covers the invitation. No subscription, no charge per guest. In trial mode you edit the cover without paying anything, and buying unlocks every scene. Included: chained scenes, up to six of your own photos, music and configurable RSVP questions. Not included: printing and sending paper. The site runs in seven languages, and the invitation content can be set per language, which helps if part of the family lives abroad.
- One-off €29.99 per invitation: no subscription, no cost per guest.
- Chained scenes, up to six photos, music and RSVP questions, all behind one link.
- A free trial of the cover before you pay, so you see it before you decide.
- No printing, no envelopes: it's a web invitation, not paper.
Building the calendar for afterwards on your retirement invitation
Inside Joy Studio, add a scene and call it Calendar for afterwards. Each entry sits in its own text field, so a plan stays on one line instead of disappearing inside a long sentence. Names, dates and place go in their own fields too.
Then add a real photo: the square, the corner café, the bench by the river. Photos frame themselves in the layout, you can swap any of them later, and you can mark a different one as the cover. The character counter and the live preview show whether a line fits a phone screen without being cut off.

A retirement isn't a full stop. It's the Monday you choose yourself.
Changing the time doesn't mean reprinting
If lunch moves from 1pm to 2pm, you edit the scene and the same link shows the new version. Nothing gets reprinted, no second round of envelopes goes out. If someone genuinely wants paper, the sensible mix is a link for everyone plus a few printed copies for whoever will keep one. Guests don't install anything either: they open the link in a browser on a phone, tablet or laptop and reply from there, so answers don't vanish into a WhatsApp thread.
Your RSVP collects plans, not allergies
Set questions like Fancy the Monday coffee? or Morning or afternoon? and the answers arrive as one ordered list inside the invitation. Don't ask about allergies, menus or transport: the RSVP form doesn't collect that, and it's there to confirm who's coming and which after-plans they want. If someone doesn't answer, there's no automatic reminder — send the link again the same way you sent it the first time.
Pick a design, try the cover for free and publish your retirement invitation for €29.99. If you move the lunch or add another plan to the calendar, the same link updates for everyone. No messages to chase, no reprints.
