Postgraduate Graduation Invitations: The Mortarboard First
A postgraduate invitation template isn't a pretty background. It's where the mortarboard, the exact time and the full name have to fit. Check it before you send.

You take the photo at six in the evening outside the faculty: mortarboard held up in one hand, tassel swinging, the corridor behind you. Then you type GRADUATION across the top, and the word lands on the tassel. You pull the date bigger and the board disappears behind it. That's the trouble with a postgraduate graduation invitation — the best photo you own has to share the page with a time, a room number and a full name.
A template isn't a pretty background. It's the space where those details have to fit together, and there's less room than you think once the mortarboard, the time and both surnames are in play. Check the fit before the link goes out, not after your aunt texts to ask which building she's heading to.
Postgraduate graduation invitations: let the mortarboard lead
The front cover is the one scene every guest sees, including the ones who never scroll further. If the mortarboard is in that photo, nothing should sit on top of it. Not the label, not the date, not the venue. Keep the cover to a picture and a name, and move everything else to the next scene. Split the details into separate fields — label, full name, date, place — and let the character counter tell you when you're about to run outside the frame. In test mode you can edit the cover without paying: swap your name for the longest one in the family and see whether it still fits.
- Full names written the way you want them, accents and both surnames included.
- The exact time and the address with a street number, not just 'the faculty'.
- Four to six photos you've already chosen: cover, group, mortarboard, dinner.
- One short line for the welcome scene, the sentence guests read before they tap through.
An exact time beats 'in the afternoon'
Write '7:30pm, Great Hall, Law Faculty' instead of 'in the afternoon'. Some of your guests are coming from another city and will open the map on their phone while they're still on the train. Add the street address, not only the building name — the map does the rest.
Leave one short line for afterwards: 'we'll be on the terrace of Building B' saves twenty WhatsApp messages on the day. And if the evening has two halves, the ceremony and the dinner, give each one its own scene instead of stacking both into a single paragraph.

Clear details are half the work. The other half is a digital graduation invitation that looks like the day it's announcing.
Change the room, keep the link
If the hall moves from Room 3 to Room 5, you edit the invitation, publish, and the link stays the same. Anyone who already opened it sees the updated version. No reprinting, no second message to the family group, and no one confirming their attendance twice.
Clear details are the easier half once you've written them down. Pick a postgraduate graduation template, try the cover in test mode without paying, and publish the link on the day you finish it. Your guests reply from their phones, and the list is waiting when you sit down to work out how many tables you need.
