It's the week before the nursery graduation and the class group chat is doing what class chats do. Someone asks whether it starts at five or half past. Someone else wants to know if siblings come too. Three answers, all different, and nothing written down in one place. A nursery graduation invitation template fixes that: every piece of information has its own field, and you fill each one in once.

Here are the fields that matter, in the order you'll fill them. Skip one and you'll spend the week answering questions by text.

Name and class: the first fields in a nursery graduation invitation template

Most of the guest list is family who don't share your child's surname and have never met the teachers. So the top of the invitation has to answer two things at once: who is graduating, and which group it is. Some nurseries call it the end-of-year celebration, others the summer party. The fields are the same. Get them right and the design can be whatever you like.

  • The class label — 'Suns Class graduation' or 'El Parque Nursery, Class of 2025'. Without it, families in other rooms aren't sure the message is meant for them.
  • Your child's name, at least first name plus one surname. Grandparents, aunts and uncles on the other side of the family won't guess.
  • The room or age group — '2–3s room', 'the older group' — so everyone knows which year is moving up.
  • The school year written in full: 'Class of 2025'. It costs nothing now and makes the invitation worth keeping.

Date, time and place: three fields you can't guess at

On a phone screen, '20/06' is a riddle. Write the full date with the weekday: Friday 20 June 2025. Then a start time and a rough finish — '5pm to 7pm' answers the question of whether people stay for tea, without anyone having to ask.

For the place, give the address and something you can see from the street: 'Nursery courtyard, 14 Main Street', or 'Alameda Park, next to the kiosk'. If there are two entrances, name the one to use. This is the line grandparents zoom in on, so don't leave it half-written.

An invitation that answers everything is an invitation nobody has to text you about.

The line, the song and the photos

One short line in your own words beats a paragraph of borrowed poetry: 'Today they close one chapter; in September it's school', or 'Thanks for being here for these first steps'. Skip anything you've already read on a hundred cards. If the class had a song they danced to every morning, add it — it plays when the invitation opens, which a printed card can't do. Then the photos: in Joy Studio you can add up to six of your own, one as the cover and the rest for the classroom, the courtyard or last year's graduation. They frame themselves.

RSVP: the question that saves you the chasing

Ask one clear question — 'How many of you are coming?' with a space for adults and siblings — and add a deadline you can see: 'Please confirm by 10 June'. Confirmations land inside the invitation itself, in one ordered list, so nobody has to scroll a group chat to count. When the invitation is a page with its own link, guests open it in their browser, no app to install, and if the time or the place changes you edit it and the link stays the same. Fill these fields once and your nursery graduation invitation is ready to send.
