A guest in Bordeaux opens your wedding link and reads the date in French. Your cousin in Manchester opens the same link that morning and reads it in English. Nobody has to agree on an official wedding language or translate details in a group chat.

That is what a multilingual digital invitation does: same wedding, same link, text set up for each reader. Here is how to build one without turning it into a translation project.

What a Multilingual Digital Invitation Looks Like

Send The Joy is a digital invitation, not a PDF. You choose a design, try it free, edit the cover without paying and publish when it is ready. In test mode you edit the cover for free; when you buy, every scene unlocks. The site runs in seven languages—Spanish, English, Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese and German—and you can configure the invitation content by language. That means the same wedding can have a ceremony label, a date and a dress code written for the people reading it. In the editor you get one field per detail: label, names, date, phrase and place. You can add up to six of your own photos, set music and configure the RSVP questions. No app to install: guests open the link in any browser and reply from their phone.

  • Write the key labels—ceremony, dinner, party—in each language instead of translating word for word.
  • Set the date in each language’s format: 12 July 2025, July 12, 2025, 12 luglio 2025.
  • Give the time in a clear format for each audience: 21:00 for some, 9 pm for others.
  • Use one map link that opens the same point no matter which language version a guest reads.

Names Stay, Labels Change

Proper nouns do not need translating. The couple’s names, the city and the date stay the same in every version. What changes are the labels around them: Ceremony, Ceremonia, Cerimònia. The date can appear as 12 July 2025, July 12, 2025 or 12 luglio 2025, so no one has to guess whether 12 is the day or the month. Leave a short phrase in each language rather than a word-for-word translation. A sentence that sounds natural in French will read better than a copy of the Spanish one.

The same rule works for practical details. A long dinner at 21:00 in Madrid reads differently in Berlin, so write the time in the format your guests expect—21:00 or 9 pm. The dress code should use the words people actually say in each country: formal, black tie, dark suit. The map is one link for everyone: it opens on a phone and points to the same place, no matter which language version of the invitation the guest is reading.

One link, several languages: every guest reads the same wedding in the words they know.

Send The Joy

If the time or place changes, edit the invitation and guests see the updated version at the same link. RSVPs arrive in one ordered list inside the invitation, and you can configure the questions. If someone wants paper, combine: one link for everyone plus a few printed copies for whoever will keep them. Guests only need a phone, tablet or computer with a connection. Pick a design, try it free, publish when ready—29.99 EUR, one-time payment, no subscription.
