You've got a stack of board books on the table, a kraft paper card, and a bookmark you want to give as a favor. The baby shower is two weeks away. The theme is a library. But how do you get that feeling across before anyone walks in? The invitation is the first thing they see.

A digital invitation can carry the theme from the first tap. It's not a PDF or a picture. It's a web page you can edit. Here's how to build a baby shower that reads like a library, from the table to the RSVP.

Set the table like a bookshelf

The table is where the theme lands. Stack board books as centerpieces. Under the stack, put a kraft card with the date and the baby's name. On top, a bookmark with the link to the invitation. Choose kraft, bottle green, and ink blue. Skip pastel pink. Worn spines and aged paper already bring that palette.

  • Bookmark with the invitation QR code: a keepsake and easy access in one.
  • Stack of board books as the base for your centerpiece.
  • Library card with the baby shower date where the due date would go.
  • Wooden or cardboard sign with the event 'title': 'Chapter One'.

Give your baby shower a title (and fill it with photos)

Every baby shower needs a title, not just a date. Write a sign like 'Chapter One: Baby Arrives' and put the parents' names underneath as authors. In the editor, each piece has its own field: title, names, date, phrase, and place. A character counter tells you if the title is too long. The site is in seven languages, including English, Spanish, and French. You can set the invitation content per language. The design stays the same; the text changes.

You can add up to six photos. For a library theme, start with a cover photo: a bump with an open book on top. Then the nursery bookshelf, an ultrasound tucked between pages, a stack of inherited stories. Photos frame themselves. You can mark which one is the cover and replace any photo later. If you change a photo after sending the invitation, the link stays the same. Guests see the updated version.

The RSVP lives inside the story

The RSVP form is part of the invitation. You can set the questions. Ask 'Will you come read with us?' and leave a short space for a message to the parents. Confirmations arrive in an ordered list inside the same invitation. No chasing replies on WhatsApp, no screenshots.

When you're ready, hit publish. Share the link, a QR code, or a message. No one installs an app. The invitation opens in any mobile browser. If the time, place, map, or dress code changes, edit it. The link stays the same. No reprints, no resending envelopes. It's digital, so no paper. If someone wants a copy for their bookshelf, print two for whoever will keep them and send the link to everyone else.
