Three weeks before the date, the restaurant still hasn't told you whether lunch sits at 2:00 or 2:30. Fourteen names are on your list, one of them is your mother-in-law, and you are not printing twenty cards with the wrong hour on them.

So you don't print. You build one page, send one link, and fix the time when the call comes.

Leather wedding anniversary invitations at year three

Three years is leather. The traditional list starts with paper, moves to cotton and lands on leather — materials that hold up better the longer they last. Leather folds, gives and doesn't tear, which is a fair description of three years of marriage. It's also the right excuse for a long table and a long lunch. This is not a second wedding. It's ten or fifteen people, and the invitation should sound like that.

  • Palette: cognac, camel, toasted brown and terracotta on cream, with muted olive green for contrast.
  • Opening line: 'Three years later, we're still celebrating.'
  • Two photos: one from the wedding day, one from this year.
  • Background music: the song from your first dance, if you still like it.

Let the leather come through the color, not the pattern

Skip the leather texture. On a screen it reads as a cheap print, not as hide. A leather-colored background does the job better: cognac, camel, toasted brown and terracotta on cream, with muted olive green for contrast so nothing goes warm and flat.

Lunch in daylight? Stay in camel and cream. Dinner? Go deeper into cognac and add a thin gold line — in the rules and dividers, not across the names.

Three years doesn't call for a banquet. It calls for a long table, and an invitation that still looks right when the restaurant moves the time.

The opening line carries more weight than the ornament

'Three years later, we're still celebrating' does more work than 'You are invited to the third anniversary of our wedding.' Keep the cover to four things: your two names, the date, the time and the place. If the restaurant hasn't confirmed yet, write the city and fill in the address later — the invitation updates without a reprint.

From the WhatsApp message to the QR code on the table

Post the link in the family group and in the friends group. It opens in a browser; nobody installs an app. For the two or three people who keep everything, print a handful of copies at a shop and hand them over. Everyone else stays digital.

Replies land inside the invitation in one ordered list, so you stop chasing confirmations one by one. If the restaurant confirms late, you change the hour in the editor and the link stays the same — guests always see the current version. Photos swap the same way: one from the wedding day, one from this year, before and now in the same invitation.

At three years, you're not repeating a banquet. You're setting one long table and sending an invitation that matches the material you're celebrating. Try it free, get the colors and the opening line right, and publish the moment the restaurant confirms.
