Hen Party Invitations for Guests in Different Countries

Guests in four countries, one plan that keeps changing: how to fix the budget, pick a deadline and collect RSVPs in each guest's own language.

Guests in four countries, one plan that keeps changing: how to fix the budget, pick a deadline and collect RSVPs in each guest's own language.

Saturday morning, coffee in hand, six messages in the group chat already. One from Manchester asking who's covering the house deposit. One from Milan asking if the date is fixed. One from Mexico City asking whether it's the fifth or the sixth of July. Nobody has booked a flight, and everyone is waiting for a number that doesn't exist yet.

That's the real work behind hen party invitations for guests in different countries. Not the venue, not the playlist — five people working from five versions of the same plan, none of them written down anywhere.

Decide the money before the destination

Before anyone opens a flight search, put three numbers in one message: what the shared pot covers, what each guest pays on her own, and the date the deposit has to land. A text with a date and an amount settles more arguments than twenty voice notes. Write the same three numbers into the invitation, so the amount reads identically for everyone and nobody has to ask privately what the plan costs.

  • A deposit deadline with an actual date, not 'before summer'.
  • What the shared pot covers and what it doesn't: the long dinner yes, the round of shots no.
  • Who transfers to whom, with the details in the same message.
  • A dress code with a real colour: 'all black' beats 'something nice'.

One hen party invitation for guests in different countries

Printing and posting cards to Manchester, Milan and Mexico City means counting stamps, addresses and delivery times before you know who's coming. A link lands in five inboxes the same minute, and it still works for the cousin who joins the plan next Tuesday — she opens the current version, not the one you designed in January.

The site runs in seven languages — English, Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese and German — and the invitation content can be set per language: English for the friend flying out of Bristol, Italian for the cousin from Bergamo. Each detail has its own field (heading, names, date, line, place) with a character counter, so switching language doesn't cut a name in half or push the date out of place.

A hen party spread across four countries doesn't need four versions of the plan. It needs one link everyone can read in her own language.

Write the time with a city, not 'in the evening'

'Saturday 5, 7.30pm in London' stops someone leaving Vancouver two hours early for the restaurant. The reference city does the work a time zone can't. If the group is split across two zones, write both times — the one at the venue and the one most people are waking up in — instead of an 'evening' everyone reads differently.

Confirm and change the plan without resending anything

The RSVP sits inside the invitation. Answers arrive in one ordered list, and you set the questions yourself — 'are you coming Friday or Saturday?'. Nobody has to scroll through the chat to see who's missing. The link never changes, either: if the restaurant moves the booking half an hour later or the dress code becomes all black, you edit it and every guest opens the updated version. No reprinting, no new envelopes.

Before you send the first message to the group, put the plan somewhere it can be read in the language each guest actually speaks, and let it update itself when something shifts. One payment of 29,99 EUR holds the date, the budget and the confirmations in the same place.
