Digital invitations with a poll: let guests vote

Put a poll inside your digital invitation and your guests confirm and vote in the same link. Here's what to ask, what to leave out and how to count it.

Half past eleven, forty unread messages, and two questions still open: is your cousin coming, and which song should open the dancing? Somebody asks again. Somebody else replies with a thumbs up, which settles nothing.

Digital invitations with a poll put both questions in the same place as the RSVP. Guests open one link, confirm their place and pick an option in the same form. One tap for the RSVP, one tap for the question. You end up with an ordered list of answers instead of a chat you have to scroll back through at midnight.

A Poll Inside the Digital Invitation, Not in the Group Chat

Your guests open the link on their phone, tap confirm and answer the questions you set, all without leaving the invitation. Nothing to install, no second app, no separate survey to chase. A phone is enough, and a tablet or a laptop works just as well. Every answer lands in one list inside the invitation, so counting who voted for the ballad is a glance rather than a chore.

  • Which song opens the first dance? Three closed options, none of them open-ended.
  • Long dinner or slow afternoon in the sun? One question to set the pace, not the menu.
  • Which colour do you want in the group photo? A vote that genuinely improves the picture.
  • Midnight surprise: cake or ice cream? Short, specific, easy to answer standing up.

The Poll Sets the Mood, Not the Allergies

A poll works for the things a group genuinely decides together and enjoys deciding: which song breaks the dance floor open, how late the after-dinner table runs, which colour turns up in the group photo. Keep it in that zone and people vote without being asked twice.

Allergies, intolerances, cots and transport don't belong in an open vote. Ask those one to one, in a private message, where somebody can answer honestly without the whole guest list reading along. A closed question with three options keeps things moving. A blank comment box does the opposite.

Two questions your guests actually answer beat six they scroll past. Ask what changes the day, then count the votes out loud.

You can edit after sending and the link stays the same. If a question falls flat and nobody votes, reword it and publish again. If the time, the place or the map move, guests who already confirmed open the usual link and see the current version. No reprints, no second round of messages, no two versions floating around.

Two Questions Are Enough

Confirming attendance plus one choice is the sweet spot. A third question stays only if it earns its place. Twenty seconds on a phone, and your guests close the tab knowing they had a say in the day. Name the question the way you'd name a scene — 'vote for the last song' sounds like part of the party, 'question 2' sounds like a bank form. When the answers are in, say the result out loud at the toast: a vote that gets repeated gets remembered. You can try your design for free in trial mode, edit the cover without paying and see how the RSVP questions look before you decide. When it's ready, you publish with one button. €29.99 per invitation, one-time payment, one link for everybody.
