Digital invitation: where to buy yours for a wedding

Digital invitation or a PDF? Here's where to buy a wedding one, what to check before you pay, and how the same link keeps working when the time changes

Digital invitation or a PDF? Here's where to buy a wedding one, what to check before you pay, and how the same link keeps working when the time changes

It's 11pm and you have six tabs open. One shop sells a PDF you download and print, another wants a monthly subscription, and a third shows a template with the wrong names on it. You only want to know where to buy a digital invitation for your wedding — one you can send tonight. Pick a design from the collection, try it for free, and publish with a button. Your guests open a link. No printing, no chasing replies.

The confusion is in the word digital. It can mean an image you forward on WhatsApp, a PDF stuck to an email, or a page with its own link. Only the last one updates when your plans do. That is the difference you notice the week before the wedding, when the ceremony moves and forty people need to know.

Where to buy a digital wedding invitation and what to check

Start with what you need, not with the price. A page with a link and RSVP solves a different problem than a PDF someone screenshots into a group chat. Ask to see a real demo on your phone, not a wall of stills. Send The Joy costs 29,99 EUR per invitation, paid once, with no subscription. Then ask what happens later: if the time moves from 6pm to 7:30pm, or the venue changes, the link your guests already have has to stay the same.

  • Is it a page with its own link, or a PDF you download?
  • Is it a one-off 29,99 EUR, or a monthly subscription?
  • Can you try the design before you pay?
  • Can you edit it after sending, without changing the link?

Comparing digital wedding invitations: price, languages and photos

Count your photos first: you can upload up to 6 of your own, a cover plus decorative ones, and they frame themselves. You can swap any photo later, including the cover. Check the languages if guests are travelling: the site works in Spanish, English, Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese and German, and you can configure the invitation content per language. And make sure you can add music and write your own RSVP questions.

Try the cover for free before you pay

In test mode you edit the cover without paying anything: names, date, the phrase only the two of you use. When you buy, every scene of the invitation unlocks, not just the cover. The editor runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install, and the preview updates as you type.

A PDF cannot do that. If your grandmother asks on WhatsApp what time it starts, you send the same link and she reads the updated time herself. Confirmations land inside the invitation in one ordered list, so nobody has to chase answers. Guests install nothing: they open the link on a phone, a tablet or a laptop and reply from there.

Send the link once and it keeps working: move the time, change the place, and your guests read the new version without you sending a single message.

By the time the plans are settled, the invitation is the last thing you want to think about. Choose a design, drop your photos in, write the line that only you two use, and publish. If someone in the family wants something to keep, the sensible answer is a mix: the link for everyone and a few printed copies for whoever will hold on to them. Guests need a phone, a tablet or a computer with a connection. Nothing else.
