It's nine at night and you're typing the same message into the class group for the fourth time: the date, the address, and whether anyone needs to bring a torch. Twelve pre-teens are going to a werewolf escape room for Halloween, and a wall of text won't hold that together. A digital invitation does. One link opens a page you build in your browser, with your own words and photos, and the replies land inside that same page. You can put it together and send it tonight from the catalogue.

This isn't a PDF and it isn't a screenshot that goes blurry after two forwards. It's a page with its own address, opened in any browser, no app for anyone to install. That's the part that makes everything else on this list easy.

The best digital invitations for a werewolf escape room

What's working this year is illustration with texture, not a full-body wolf showing its teeth. Fur you can almost feel, a full moon coming up behind a half-open door, a scratch across the corner of the frame. On a phone the cover is small, so choose a composition with the moon at the top and the lower third left clear — that gap is where the title goes. Something like 'Escape Room: howl at midnight' fits there without fighting the artwork.

  • Fur with visible texture, a full moon and a door left ajar. Mystery, not gore.
  • The lower third of the cover kept empty for the title and the names — on a phone, that's the part people actually read.
  • One scratched font for the title, one plain font for the time and the address.
  • A written line on the cover saying how long is left: 'three days until the door closes'.

Scratched type that still reads at first glance

Two fonts, maximum. One with a rough edge for the title, one plain for the time, the address and the names. The scratched one is the costume; the clean one does the work.

Do the test on someone else's phone. If the birthday kid's initial gets confused with another letter on a five-inch screen, the font is too aggressive. Keep the scratched look for a single word — 'howl', 'midnight' — and set everything that has to be understood in the plain one. Parents reading the address at a bus stop will thank you.

A werewolf invitation should look like a warning and read like a bus timetable.

The countdown is written, not programmed

The hook this year is a phrase on the cover: 'faltan' won't do, so write it in your own words — 'three days and four hours until the door shuts'. It goes in the phrase field, next to the title, the names, the date and the place. When the number changes, you edit the invitation and the link stays the same. Nobody has to forward anything to the class group again, and the time of the escape room stays in view every time someone opens the link to check where it was.

Photos, RSVP and a plan that can still change

You can upload up to six photos of your own, mark which one is the cover and swap any of them later — last year's group shot with everyone mid-scream works well. Confirmations arrive in an ordered list inside the invitation itself, and you write the questions: 'brave enough for the hard level?' or 'bringing a torch?'. If the room or the time changes, you edit and publish again. Guests see the new version straight away and there are no envelopes to reprint.

Pick a cover, write your countdown line, choose the one question you want answered and publish. Send the link and a QR code to the class group and let the door creak open. Tonight's to-do list is one page long.
