Digital invitation: your wedding gift list in one link

A digital invitation with your wedding gift list in one line: name the shop, pick one contact, and stop answering the same question at midnight

11:40 pm, and the family group chat is still on the same question: was the gift list at the shop on the high street or the one online? Three people reply. Two of them disagree. The card with the shop's name is in an envelope, the envelope is in the glovebox, and the glovebox is in your cousin's car.

You can create and send a digital invitation today from the catalog, and the wedding gift list line can sit exactly where people already look for the address and the time. One line. No card to lose.

Digital invitations don't end up in a glovebox. The note naming the shop stays on the same page as the time, the map and the dress code, on the phone the guest is already holding. Nothing to hunt for in a drawer.

  • The insert stays in the envelope, and the envelope stays in the car.
  • By the time someone needs the shop's name, the person who knows it is on a train with no signal.
  • Three guests ask three different people and get three different answers.
  • The copy in the kitchen drawer is the one from before you changed the shop.

How to create a digital invitation with a wedding gift list note

The phrase field is the natural home for it: one line with the shop's name and the city, no further detail. If your invitation runs through several scenes, the text of the dinner scene or the last-dance scene can carry the same note without breaking the rhythm. With guests reading in two languages, the invitation content is set per language, so the line about the list reads the same in both.

Keep the wording short. Start with “if you'd like to join us in…” and end on the shop's name — one sentence, one fact. Give a single contact name and phone number instead of three numbers spread across the family. Leave out amounts, account numbers and capitals: the line names the list, it doesn't invoice anyone. If the shop closes or you change your mind, you edit the invitation and the link stays exactly as it was.

Name the list once, where people are already looking, and let the link carry the rest.

What a digital invitation won't do for you

It won't run the list. It doesn't record who bought what — that stays with the shop or in your own spreadsheet. The RSVP form asks the questions you set, but it doesn't collect allergies, menus or cots, so keep a separate channel for those. And if someone in the family wants paper, the sensible answer is a mix: a link for everyone and a handful of printed copies for the people who will keep them. Pick a design, try it free, then open the link on your own phone and read the gift list line out loud before you send it. If it sounds like a person talking, it's ready.
