Digital invitation templates: birthday dress code

Two weeks before the dinner, someone asks in the group chat what to wear. Three people answer, nobody agrees, and the birthday invitations with a dress code you spent an evening choosing never mentioned one. That is the gap. A digital invitation puts the dress code on the same screen as the date, the address and the RSVP button, and you can set one up from the catalogue and send it today.

The dress code is not an afterthought you explain later in a voice note. It is part of the invitation, and it needs its own line: a category plus one example garment. When it sits next to the time and the map, people read it. When it lives in a chat from three weeks ago, they guess.

The dress code is not guessed, it is read on the cover

"Elegant sport" on its own gets you ten readings and none of them right. One guest turns up in a blazer, another in flip-flops, and both think they followed the brief. Write the version you actually mean: blazer and a shirt, no tie. A colour that gets misread is a one-line fix too — earth tones, no white — placed just under the name of the birthday person, where nobody can miss it.

  • Put the dress code on the same screen as the date, the time and the place. If a guest has to scroll or ask, it does not exist.
  • Name a category and one garment: "elegant sport: blazer, no tie". A category alone is an opinion.
  • Say what to avoid in positive terms: "earth tones, best without white" reads better than a list of bans.
  • Leave a reference photo among the decorative images: a jacket over a chair, a swatch of linen, a pair of flat sandals.

How to create digital invitations with a birthday dress code

Think of the collection as birthday invitation templates with a dress code slot built in. Filter by style, pick a design and try it free: in test mode you edit the cover without paying. When you buy, every scene unlocks — cover, middle scenes, RSVP — and the dress code has its own field in the editor, with a character counter so the line stays inside the frame instead of splitting into two odd rows.

You can upload up to six photos of your own, cover and decorative, and they frame themselves; you choose which one is the cover and you can swap any of them later. Three dress codes that fit a short field: "elegant sport: midi dress or blazer, clean trainers". "Beach: linen, flat sandals, no heels in the sand". "Nineties party: jeans and a band T-shirt". Each gives a category and an example in the same breath, which is all a guest needs.

A dress code that lives in a chat is a rumour. On the invitation, it is an instruction.

Change the dress code on Thursday without resending anything

You can edit after sending and the link stays the same, so whoever opens it on Saturday morning sees the updated version. Change the time, the place, the map or the dress code and you do not reprint or chase anyone one by one. Confirmations arrive inside the invitation, in one ordered list, with the questions you set for that party. Pick a template, write the dress code in its field and publish the link once. If something changes, it updates itself.
