Digital invitation: what a silver wedding anniversary needs
A digital invitation for a silver wedding anniversary needs a label, two names, a full date, an arrival time and a dress code in four words. Here's the rest

You've booked the room, agreed the date and got a rough idea of who's coming. What you don't have is a way to tell forty people the same three things — when to arrive, where to park, what to wear — without forty phone calls. A digital invitation handles that: pick a design from the collection, fill in the date, the time and the dress code, and send the link the same day. Here's what to put on a digital invitation for a silver wedding anniversary, and what to leave out.
A 25th anniversary isn't a wedding with a bigger number on it. Your guests have known you for years. They don't need the story of how you met; they need to know when to be there and whether their reply arrived. Every line on the invitation should answer a question someone was about to text you.
What a silver wedding anniversary invitation opens with
The first two lines do most of the work: what the party is, and whose it is. Get those right and a guest knows instantly that the message is for them and that they've read it properly. Poetry can wait for the photo.
- The label: 'silver wedding anniversary' or '25 years together'. 'Anniversary' on its own makes people count backwards.
- Both names, in the order you've always used them. If it's been Maria and Antonio for 25 years, keep Maria and Antonio.
- Surnames only if half the guest list has never met you. The people at the party already know who you are.
- The full date with weekday and year: 'Saturday 14 June 2025'. Without the year, someone will wonder if it's already happened.
Time, place and dress code: written so people arrive
Give the arrival time, not the time the speeches start. If drinks are at 7.30 and dinner at 8.30, write 7.30. Someone who turns up at 8.15 parks badly, walks in during the starters and spends the first course apologising. Add the street and number, then one landmark a guest from out of town can actually find — 'next to St Peter's church' saves three messages that afternoon. If there's a map, make it a link that opens on a phone; it's the same screen they'll use to reply.
Dress code in three or four words: 'black tie', 'cocktail', 'dark suit and long dress'. 'Elegant' means something different to every guest and usually ends with a suit standing next to a pair of jeans. If there's a colour you'd rather not see, say it lightly — 'we've saved white for the cake'. Then add the practical line that matters more than any of it: 'the ceremony is outdoors and thin heels sink', 'there are stairs up to the room'.

An anniversary invitation has one job: tell forty people the same thing, correctly, once.
What stays off the invitation
No gift list and no account number on the invitation itself. If someone asks, answer privately; the invitation announces a party, not an invoice. Skip 'don't miss it' and the paragraphs of nostalgia — two lines with the date, the place and the dress code get read, a block of memories gets scrolled past with a thumb. And don't make WhatsApp the only way to reply: people read, close the chat and forget.
How to create digital invitations that keep up with the plan
Pick a design, try it free by editing the cover, and publish when the date is fixed. After that the link keeps working: if the restaurant moves you to another room or the dress code drops from black tie to cocktail, you change it and guests see the new version — no reprinting, no second message. Confirmations arrive in an ordered list inside the same invitation, so nobody chases anyone. You can add up to six of your own photos, one from 1999 and one from this year if you like, plus music, and set the invitation texts in another language for family abroad. It costs 29,99 EUR, paid once.
Choose the design, edit the cover for free and publish once the date is settled. On a Send The Joy digital invitation the time, the map and the dress code update for everyone at the same time, and the replies sit in one list you can actually find.
