Digital invitation for a Bilbao retirement party

Digital invitation: Your colleague is retiring and the only email list you have belongs to the company. A digital invitation sends by link

The date is set, the txoko is booked and there are forty people to tell. The only list with all of them on it is the company one, and the person you're saying goodbye to still reads that inbox every morning. A digital invitation gets you out of that corner: pick a design, edit the cover, publish and send the link. You can have it ready today, straight from the catalogue, and the retirement in Bilbao you're planning is the only thing on the page.

Digital invitation, singular: one page, one link, no distribution list. Nothing to unsubscribe from on Monday, and nothing the guest of honour can open by accident.

Why a digital invitation skips the company email

You send the link to three or four people you trust and they pass it on. The message never leaves the company domain and it doesn't sit in a shared list the retiree can see. If he still has the team inbox open on his laptop, a private link leaves no trace there either — nobody has to delete anything the next morning. And whoever receives it opens it in a browser, so there's no app to install and nothing to explain in the corridor.

  • The guest of honour's full name, spelled right. It's the first thing on the cover: no nickname, no typo.
  • A cover photo that doesn't give the game away. The office window, the old txoko or the crew photo from years ago works better than a recent picture of him.
  • Date, time and the txoko address confirmed with the restaurant before you publish. One phone call saves three corrections.
  • One clear confirmation question ('are you bringing someone?') and a deadline written into the invitation text.

Digital invitations take the changes without a resend

The txoko is locked, the date is locked, and then the time moves. A lunch in the Casco Viejo becomes a sidrería in Deusto. Change the hour, the address and the map in the editor and the same link shows the new version — no resending to forty people, no second message saying 'ignore the last one'. Whoever opened it at breakfast sees the sidrería at six.

The dress code lives there too: 'shirt, no tie, there'll be photos' on the cover kills the group chat with fifty messages asking the same thing. Confirmations arrive inside the invitation, in one ordered list, so you see who's coming without counting screenshots. Set the questions yourself: 'are you coming alone or with someone?', 'are you in for the vermut beforehand?'. One honest caveat — nobody gets chased automatically. Someone on the team still has to nudge the four people who forget.

The link never changes; the invitation does. That's the whole trick.

How much does a digital invitation cost for a retirement in Bilbao?

€29.99, paid once, no subscription. Try the cover for free first: edit the names, the date, the phrase and the place, check it on your phone, and publish when the txoko is confirmed. Buying unlocks the rest of the scenes, up to six of your own photos and the music. Then you send one link by WhatsApp and, if two people will want something for a drawer, print those few copies yourself and keep the link for everyone else.
