Twenty-five kids in Year 4B, twenty-five pumpkins lined up on the school patio table, and one question going round the class chat at ten at night: is the Halloween snack at four or five? You can settle it tonight. Pick a design from the catalogue, type the pumpkin names and the time into the fields, hit publish, and the link is in the family group before the first candle is lit. That is what a digital invitation does: one web page for the event, nothing for anyone to install.

It isn't a PDF and it isn't a photo of a card. It's a page that opens in any browser and lets people reply from the same screen. The pumpkin with the wonky smile stays on the poster; the answer to "what time?" lives in a field you can still change before anyone leaves the house.

Digital invitations that travel to the family group on their own

One link and one QR code. The twenty-five families open it on a phone, including the grandmother who only reads the class chat and the dad who is always three streets away. If a kid loses the paper invitation in the queue at the school gate, nothing is lost: the link is still sitting in the group. Forward it to the class teacher or the parents' association and you haven't printed a single extra copy.

  • One link, one QR: it opens in any phone browser, so nobody has to install an app.
  • No twenty-five pumpkin cards handed out at the gate — a lost bit of paper can't take the invitation with it.
  • Forward it to the class teacher or the parents' association without running off another copy or retyping the text four times.
  • Replies come back inside the page, in an ordered list, not scattered through a chat thread.

Pumpkin Halloween invitations for the class: 25 names in one template

In the headline field, write "Halloween snack · Year 4B". In the names field, be clear about who it's for; the character counter warns you before anything gets cut off. Then use one of your six photos for the pumpkin mural on the classroom wall or the decorated door at the end of the corridor. A phone photo is enough: it frames itself, and you choose which one goes on the cover.

When the new class photo arrives, swap it and leave the link alone — the QR on the classroom door keeps working. Put the time in the date and time field ("Friday 31, 4pm, school patio"), not in a loose line of chat where it drowns between memes and voice notes. If the parents' association moves the snack to five, you edit the invitation and the link stays the same, so nobody reprints or re-sends anything. Add the place with a map so nobody has to ask which gate. And the confirmations land in one ordered list inside the invitation: you write the questions yourself, so ask the one that matters ("are you staying for the pumpkin workshop afterwards?") instead of chasing answers at eleven the night before.

A paper card can't tell twenty-five families that the snack moved to five o'clock. A link can.
