Thursday night, the neighbourhood chat. Someone drops a PDF of the Halloween flyer between a voice note about plastic cobwebs and a photo of a cat. By Monday the flyer is buried under two hundred messages and three people are still asking what time it starts. This year, send a Halloween WhatsApp invitation link that doesn't expire: a digital invitation you can put together and send today from the catalogue, with the time, the square and the 'confirm inside' all in one place.

A PDF is a file. A page with its own link is something else. Move the start from 20:00 to 21:00 on the Friday and the link stays the same — no reprinting, no forty separate messages, no 'sorry, I meant nine'. The neighbour on the third floor opens it in the browser they already use. Nothing to install.

Half past ten on the 31st, someone scrolls back and asks where it was. With a file, that answer is somewhere in the noise. With a link, you paste it again and it opens: the square, the time, the pumpkin by the door. That is the whole trick, and it saves the evening.

  • The exact spot, not just the square: 'by the fountain, 21:00' saves about ten phone calls.
  • One photo as the cover: the carved pumpkin on your doorstep, the cobwebs on the balcony, the square empty at dusk.
  • A line with some humour in it: 'if the door creaks, that's the decoration'.
  • The link opened on a second phone before you drop it in the big group.

How to create a digital invitation for forty neighbours

Pick a design from the collection — filter by style if you already know the mood — and try it in test mode before paying anything. In test mode you edit the cover and watch it change as you type. Buy it and the rest of the scenes open up, each one filled with your own words and photos.

Every field has its own box and a character counter, so '31 October, 21:00, by the fountain' fits the frame instead of spilling over the edge. You can add up to six photos of your own — the carved pumpkin, the cobwebs on the balcony, the square at dusk — and they frame themselves. Swap the cover on Saturday if the light is better.

Forty people, one link, and nobody has to dig through the chat to find out what time it starts.

What a digital invitation costs for a village square

Digital invitations are priced per invitation, not per guest: 29.99 EUR, paid once, no subscription. That covers the link forty neighbours will open, not forty copies of anything. No paper, no envelopes through letterboxes, no chasing the man from number four across the landing. If someone honestly wants paper, combine: the link for everyone, three or four printed copies for the people who will keep them.

The WhatsApp message that gets forwarded on its own

Three lines: what it is, when, and one instruction — 'confirm inside, so we know how many chairs to carry to the square'. Send the same link to the community group, the stairwell group and the school group; there is no version A and version B. Confirmations arrive inside the invitation in one list, so the 'I'm in' that died between two hundred messages does not happen. You write the RSVP questions yourself: whether someone is bringing something sweet for the table, whether they are staying to help clear up, or the joke one — 'are you brave enough to cross the door at eleven?'. Build it in an afternoon, try it free, and send the link when it is ready.
