Half past ten and the group chat is doing what it always does: three people asking what time, two asking what to wear, one sending a wolf emoji and no answer at all. You're throwing a werewolf party in a small flat, and digital Halloween invitation trends don't fix any of that. A digital invitation does: one page, your two lines, every guest's name on it, and the link sent tonight from the catalogue.

It's a web page for your party, not a PDF and not a picture. It opens in the browser on any phone, no app to install, and everyone gets the same link. Here's how to build one for a flat-sized werewolf night.

A digital invitation for a werewolf night reads in two lines

The top of the page has one job: say what this is. Two lines, no more. Above, the reason — 'Werewolf night'. Below, the promise — 'the night that howls'. If you need a third line to explain the party, the text is doing the design's job and doing it badly. The editor counts characters while you type and the preview updates without reloading, so you can try the long version, watch it break the layout, and cut it back in the same minute.

  • A two-line label: the reason on top, the promise underneath.
  • Your own photo as the first screen — last year's crew, badly framed, beats a stock wolf.
  • A one-line address: buzzer, floor and street, written once.
  • The end time in plain words: 'until the last wolf leaves, around 3am'.

How to create a digital invitation with every guest's name

Group chats turn into noise around the eighth message; a page with your own name on it doesn't. 'Javi, this one's for you' gets read and answered. 'Hey everyone' gets scrolled past. Use the letters your crew actually uses, nicknames included — if you're Loba in the chat, you're Loba on the invitation. One link for all eight of you, the same scenes chained together, and up to six photos of previous Halloweens spread across the page. You can mark which photo is the cover and swap any of them later.

Then there's the small-flat geography. 'Buzzer at eleven, third floor, no lift' on a single line kills the midnight 'where exactly?' message. Check it against the actual buzzer before you send. The dress code goes the same way: 'ears and a black t-shirt, that's it'. The shorter the line, the more people follow it.

Two lines, eight names and a 3am warning — that's the whole invitation. The rest is pumpkins.

The 3am warning, the decor, and why digital invitations suit a small flat

Say the end time out loud and put it on the page: 'until the last wolf leaves, around 3am'. The neighbour downstairs hears the bass long before the howling, and someone who knows the plan complains less. One wolf touch is enough — a silhouette on the cover, a two-second howl in the music — and the rest is ordinary flat decoration: a dark cloth over the sofa, carved pumpkins with candles on the table, cobwebs across the door frame. No blood, not on the page and not in the hallway. And if the party moves to someone else's living room, change the place and the time in the editor: the link stays the same and nobody re-sends anything.

You have the crew, the flat and the excuse. What's missing is the page they open while they're getting dressed. Build it, look at it on your own phone, fix the one line that doesn't fit, and send it before someone asks again what time.
