A digital invitation for a Halloween dinner for two on the roof: which fields to fill, what to leave alone, and where the black cat goes on the cover

The pumpkin is already on the landing. The black cat that patrols the roof has taken the parapet again, and you've decided: 31 October, dinner for two up there, two chairs and a candle in a jar. What's left is telling the other person. You can do that today: pick a design from the catalogue, add your own time, names and one line, drop in a photo and publish the link. It takes less time than carving the pumpkin.

The trap with a dinner for two is that the invitation ends up more planned than the dinner. Five text fields and up to six photo slots are sitting there, empty, and the urge is to fill every one. Don't. Here's what to write, what to leave alone, and where the cat goes.

A digital invitation for a couple's rooftop dinner: four fields

The editor gives you one field per detail: label, names, date and time, one line, place. Separate fields exist so each thing is said once. If 22:00 appears in the label, in the line and in the place, your guest reads the same hour three times and starts wondering whether two different times are involved. Keep the hour in the date field and use the label for the plan itself.

  • Label: 'Dinner for two on the roof'. No hour inside it.
  • Date and time: 31 October, 22:00, in one field and once.
  • Names: first names only. 'Marta & Iván' reads at a glance on a phone; 'Marta Ruiz & Iván Pérez' does not.
  • Place: 'Roof terrace, 14 Verdi Street, buzzer 3B'. The map does the rest, and nobody has to call to ask which door.

What to leave alone so the page doesn't turn into a scrapbook

The line is decoration, not a paragraph. Ten or twelve words ('Come up, there are pumpkins and wine') work better than half an invitation written by hand. The character counter warns you before you overrun. And the scenes that come with the design already tell a story in order; renaming all of them, or adding one more to explain that it's Halloween, only makes the page slower to read on a phone.

Photos are the same. A clear cover and, at most, one decorative shot is enough. Fill all six slots and it stops reading like an invitation and starts reading like an album people scroll past on the way to something else.

One time, two names, one line. Everything else is decoration, and decoration has a ceiling.

Black cat Halloween digital invitations: one motif on the cover

Black cat on the cover, pumpkin in the decorative photo, and that's the set. Add cobwebs, bats, a hanging skeleton and three more props, and the cat is the first thing to vanish into the background. If the photo is yours, shoot it at night with low orange light: a rooftop with lanterns reads better on a screen than a selfie with a flash. Try the design before you pay, in preview mode, to see whether your cover fits the frame or crops the ears off.

How much a Halloween digital invitation costs

29,99 EUR, once, for the invitation itself. No monthly fee, no reprint. What matters for a rooftop plan is what you get after sending it: change the hour or the place and the link stays the same, so nobody needs a second message. Confirmations arrive inside the invitation in a list instead of scattered through a chat. And your guest installs nothing, because the page opens in the browser on their phone.

If the roof, the hour and the cat are settled, the only thing left is the page. Try a design for free, fill in the four fields, add your photo and publish the link tonight; a digital invitation is ready before the candle is lit. For two people, the RSVP can be a single question: up at 22:00 or 22:30?
