The side door of the hotel creaks open at five to nine. The corridor smells of candle wax and cold stone. Eleven people are coming, two still think the cocktail is at nine-thirty, one is wearing trainers, and nobody remembers whether the black dress code meant a long dress or just no colour. All of it was written down three weeks ago, in a message that sank under three voice notes and a video of somebody's carved pumpkin.

A gothic dinner in a hotel is a small logistics job: a cocktail hour, a room with a name, a dress code, a cut-off date for the kitchen. A Digital invitation holds all four on one page, and you can build and send it today from the catalogue, before anyone asks a fourth time.

Cocktails at 9pm, the room, the dress code: what the invitation has to carry

Vague is what breaks the night. 'The big room' is not an address and 'dress dark' is not a dress code. Name the room, the floor and the door you come in through, give one example of what to wear, and set a deadline you can point at later. Everything you leave out becomes a private message at eleven at night.

  • Time and room, spelled out: cocktails at 9pm in the Black Salon, ground floor, side-street entrance.
  • Dress code with an example and a ban: black or charcoal suit, long dress, no trainers.
  • Deadline as a date: confirm before the 25th so the kitchen can close the menu.
  • Who is inviting, and who to message if the taxi drops you at the wrong door.

How much does a Digital invitation cost? 29.99 EUR, once

29.99 EUR per invitation, one payment, no subscription. It costs the same for ten guests or sixty. That covers the full page with its scenes, up to six of your own photos, music and the confirmation questions you set up yourself. You can edit the cover for free and look at it before you pay.

Compare it with paper. Paper means envelopes, a printer and postage per guest, and paying again every time the cocktail shifts half an hour or the room changes. Here a change of time is an edit and a save. The link stays the same.

The invitation is the plan: move the cocktail to 9:30 and the same link shows the new time.

A message with the time in it lives about four minutes before someone posts a photo of their porch and it's gone. The link gets forwarded the same way and opens in any browser, on any phone, with nothing to install. Confirmations land inside the invitation in one ordered list, not as seven 'I'm in' messages between crossed conversations. You write the questions, so you can ask who's coming to the cocktail and who's staying for the three courses.

Changing the cocktail time without resending a single message

Hotels move things. The room gets swapped, the cocktail slides to 9:30, the terrace is too cold by the end of October and the drinks end up in the bar. You edit the invitation, publish, and the link keeps working. Same for the dress code or the room's name. Whoever opens it that night sees the current version.

If the room, the hour and the dress code are already decided, what's missing is the page that tells everyone properly. Pick a design, put in your own words, the address and the deadline, add a photo if you want one, and drop the link in the group before the questions start.
