Digital invitation for a gala dinner with wine pairing

A digital invitation for a gala dinner with wine pairing settles the detail guests worry about: who drives, when the toast is, how they get home. One link, RSVPs inside

The table is set for eight, the pairing runs to five glasses, and the first message you get is not about the food. It's about the car: where to park on a street with no kerb space, what time the last train leaves, whether there is a version without alcohol. A digital invitation can answer all three before anyone asks, and you can build one from the collection and send it tonight.

These digital invitations are a page of their own for the evening, not a PDF. Guests open a link, a QR code or a message on their phone and reply from there: no app to install, no envelope to wait for. You type the car park entrance and the toast time into the text fields, check the preview and publish with one button.

A gala dinner with wine pairing is decided before the tie

Write the dinner time and the time of the last train or the taxi home inside the invitation. Guests read it while they are still choosing between driving and drinking, not at the venue door. Name the car park with a street and an entrance — 'the courtyard at number 12, gate on the rue des Lilas' — instead of 'by the garden'. And if the pairing runs to five courses, say so: five glasses and a steering wheel don't mix, and people would rather know before they reply.

  • The exact time of the last train, taxi or shuttle, written into the invitation text.
  • The car park with street and entrance, plus the map on the venue scene.
  • One line saying every course of the pairing has a no-alcohol pour.
  • Cocktail hour and sitting-down time, listed separately.

Black tie, dark suit, and the glass at the toast

Write 'black tie' or 'dark suit, no tie' exactly like that. Your guests' doubt is not the colour, it is the level of ceremony. Add a floor note if you are eating in a courtyard or garden — 'cobbles and gravel: block heel or flat shoes' — it takes ten seconds to read and gets thanked all evening. Keep cocktail hour and sitting-down time apart, too: someone who arrives at 8pm and finds the door shut at 8.15 stops trusting the rest of the invitation.

At the toast, pour sparkling water into a wine glass for whoever is driving. The toast works with whatever is in each glass and nobody gets pointed at. Say in the text that the pairing is a proposal and that every course has a no-alcohol version: that protects the host as much as the guest. Leave the car keys in the car park when you arrive, not on the table — a key beside a coupe is the one thing that spoils a black-tie photo.

The detail that decides a gala evening is not the menu. It is who drives, when the toast is, and how everybody gets home.

Digital invitation for a gala dinner with wine pairing: cost, wording, RSVPs

One invitation costs 29.99 EUR, paid once, no subscription. Each detail gets its own field — eyebrow, names, date, phrase, place — with a character counter, so the car line and the toast time fit without cutting the hosts' names short. Change the hour or the address after sending and the link stays the same: guests see the updated version and nobody has to resend anything. Replies arrive inside the invitation in one ordered list, with the questions you set on the confirmation form. Try the design free and publish when the wording is right.
