Your fifth anniversary is in eleven days and the plan lives in four different chats. One has the time, one has the address, one has a photo of the restaurant you liked, and one has your cousin asking whether the children are coming. Nobody has done anything wrong. There is just no single place where the plan sits. A digital invitation is that place, and you can build and send one today from the catalogue: pick a design, type the date, add a photo of the two of you, share the link.

A 5th wedding anniversary does not need a gift list or a seating chart. It needs people to arrive at the right door at the right time. So keep the page short and specific: the details, one photo, one line of your own. Here is what actually gets read.

What to put on a 5th wedding anniversary invitation

Four details carry the evening. Leave one of them vague and you will spend the day answering messages about it.

  • The full date and time: 'Saturday 14 June, 8:30 pm', not 'Saturday'. If dinner is at nine and the toast at half nine, write both. People book sitters against that number.
  • The venue with a name, a street address and something to look for. At home: 'Marta and Leo's flat, 14 Ash Grove, second door on the left'. At a restaurant: the name and which entrance to use.
  • One line saying what it is: 'five years married'. Part of the family lost count in year three and will be glad not to ask.
  • The dress code in its own field, not tucked inside the sentence you rewrote six times.

The cover is the two of you, not the room

When someone opens the link, the cover photo is the first thing they see. Use a picture of the two of you, from the wedding or from last summer, rather than a wide shot of the restaurant. Six photos is the maximum: one cover and five decorative. A trip, a burnt dinner, the move, the plant that survived it.

You choose which photo is the cover, and you can swap any of them afterwards without changing the link, so a blinking photo is not a crisis. The line under your names works the same way: four or five words, 'five times around the sun', 'still choosing each other'. The editor counts characters as you type, which is the only reason it never spills over the design.

If the line could belong to any couple, it is not yours yet.

How to create a 5th anniversary digital invitation, and what it costs

Digital invitations for an anniversary are not gift lists or seating charts. The useful part is small and practical: one page, one link. Choose a design from the collection, test the cover for free before paying, then unlock the rest. It costs 29,99 EUR per invitation, paid once, no subscription. Guests open a link, a QR code or a message and reply from their phone with nothing to install. Their answers arrive in one ordered list inside the invitation. If the time moves from 8:30 to 9, you edit it and everyone sees the new version: the link stays the same and nobody has to be told twice. The invitation text can also be set up in seven languages if some of your guests are abroad.

The one printed copy that still makes sense

If someone is going to pin the invitation to the fridge, print three copies and send the link to everyone else. Then do one last check: open the link on a real phone, outdoors, with the brightness turned down. If the time and the address still read clearly there, they are in the right place. Pick a design, type the date and your line, and test the cover free before you pay. The whole thing takes an afternoon.
