Bachelorette party invitations: cocktail workshop or wine tasting

Two hours of shaking drinks or two hours at the table with glasses: what changes in photos, cost and clean-up — and how to fit it all into one link.

Two hours of shaking drinks or two hours at the table with glasses: what changes in photos, cost and clean-up — and how to fit it all into one link.

Two hours in, your kitchen counter is sticky with lime juice. Someone has over-poured the syrup, the ice bucket is empty, and three people are shouting over the shaker about who is driving home. A wine tasting looks tidier in every photo — glasses parked on the table, one person taking notes — but it gives you a different evening.

The plan you choose decides the guest list, the timing and how much you have to explain. The invitation decides the rest: where to be, what to wear, who is coming and when it ends.

Bachelorette party invitations: a workshop to do, a tasting to talk through

In a cocktail workshop every guest has a shaker in her hand. There is a task, a queue for the ice, and the conversation has to compete with the noise. A wine tasting stays quieter: glasses on the table, someone writing notes, most of the evening spent listening to whoever is guiding.

  • If your group drifts the moment nobody gives them a job, take the workshop: one recipe and one station each keeps everyone in the room.
  • If you want two hours sitting down and talking, the tasting holds the table better.
  • A workshop fills the time on its own — setting up, toasting, repeating the recipe.
  • A tasting wants more time at the table and less time standing up.

Cost, start time and the room you need

A workshop needs a bar, a counter or a kitchen with a sink for the ice and the glasses. A tasting needs a table and somewhere to park the glasses without anyone knocking them over. That one difference decides where the night happens.

Then sort the drive home. If the plan ends with more than two cocktails each, agree in advance who is not drinking and what time the last drink leaves the table. Put both in the invitation so nobody has to ask twice.

Pick the plan that fits the room and the people, then put the time, the address and the dress code where everyone can find them.

Eight friends is not the same as eighteen

With eight people, a workshop at home fits in one kitchen and everyone gets a turn with the shaker. Past fourteen, it is worth paying someone to run the pace and bring the kit. A tasting scales differently: the more glasses on the table, the more the group splits into corners of three. If tastes are mixed, run a non-alcoholic version alongside — rosemary lemonade works — instead of a tasting where two people are being polite.

The invitation goes out before the first shaker

A Send The Joy invitation is its own web page for the event, not a PDF. You share a link, a QR code or a message, and every guest opens it in her phone browser without installing an app. In the editor you fill in the label, names, date, phrase and place, add up to six photos and music, and set the RSVP questions — say, the T-shirt size for the group. Confirmations land inside the invitation, in one list. If the plan moves from a bar to your living room at 7pm, or the dress code becomes 'white shirt, mind the lime juice', you edit it and the link stays the same: nobody re-sends anything. One invitation costs 29.99 EUR, one payment, and you can try it for free first. The invitation content can also be set per language, which helps when some guests read Spanish and others German.

Before you choose between the shaker and the glass, choose how you will tell everyone else: the time, the place, what to wear and who is coming. Write it once, publish it with a button, and change it when the plan moves.
