Seven Portuguese destinations that survive a group of ten, the three-day plan that doesn't fall apart, and the one link that answers the questions before they arrive.

A bachelorette party in Portugal looks simple on paper: ten people, one house, three days. Then the flights land. The first group arrives at 4pm on Friday, the last at 11, and by the time the second lot reaches the apartment the first is already two bars into Bairro Alto. Nobody is surprised. Saturday dinner is the first moment everyone ends up in the same room.

That's not a failed weekend. It's what happens when the plan is a list of activities instead of a place to sleep. Portugal is a forgiving destination — short hops in, kitchens open late, taxis at 2am. What splits a group of ten is two houses twenty minutes apart, or a Saturday scheduled from 11am to 2am with no gaps in it.

A bachelorette party in Portugal is won on the beds

Lisbon takes a group of ten better than most cities if everyone sleeps in the same area. Two houses ten minutes apart quietly become two groups that don't meet until Saturday dinner. Pick one neighbourhood for Friday and one for Saturday, both within a short walk of where you're staying. And whether half the group calls it a hen weekend and the other half calls it a bachelorette party, you're booking the same two things: beds and one table.

  • Close the beds before you close the restaurant. Two houses ten minutes apart turn into two groups that don't see each other until Saturday dinner.
  • Pick one area for Friday — the toast and the first bar within two streets — and one for Saturday, but nobody should be crossing the city with a bag at 3am.
  • Leave Saturday afternoon empty. Whoever lands at 5pm wants a terrace and a shower, not a guided walk with a start time.
  • Send one address, not a dropped pin. Drivers and taxi apps do better with a street name at 2am.

Porto earns the night during the day

Porto is a walking city with hills, and the hills do most of the work. Put the river and the climb before lunch; by 6pm the group has covered the ground and a long dinner lands better than one more activity. Book a tasting or a big table at midday and keep the evening to two places at most, one of them near the beds. If your group eats early by habit, the night stretches itself out. If it eats late, move the booking forward and forget the last bar.

Comporta and the coast are a different trip: a car, a house with a pool, one big shop on Friday afternoon and one long lunch on the terrace on Saturday. Name two drivers per car before anyone picks a seat, or somebody gets stranded at 2am. And don't underestimate a table: four hours of lunch replaces three bars. Set an end time of 6pm and most of the group will still be sitting there at 7.

You don't need a fuller plan. You need one address where everyone sleeps and one time when everyone shows up.

One fixed booking a day

Friday is arrivals, a shop and a first toast at the house; nothing reserved after 10pm. Saturday gets a single booking with a name and a time — dinner. Chain two activities together and the group starts dropping at the second one. Sunday stays loose: a long breakfast or a short walk, something someone with a midday flight can leave halfway without a scene. Then put the details in one place. An invitation link answers the three questions you'd otherwise answer ten times — who's coming, who's staying over, what time Friday starts — and if the dinner time or the dress code changes, you edit it and the same link shows the new version. Choose the destination, set a Friday arrival time, and keep Saturday to one reservation.
