Bachelorette Party: Cruise or Rural Hotel Invitation

A cruise wants a boarding time. A rural quinta wants an address you can tap. Here's what goes on a bachelorette invitation for each plan.

A cruise wants a boarding time. A rural quinta wants an address you can tap. Here's what goes on a bachelorette invitation for each plan.

There are two bachelorette party plans sitting in the same group chat. One says the boat leaves Lisbon at 14:00 on Saturday. The other says the quinta is somewhere past Évora and the last two km are dirt road. Someone asks which plan is actually happening and nobody answers for twenty minutes, because the details are spread over four messages and a screenshot of a screenshot.

A bachelorette weekend on a cruise and one in a rural hotel need different invitations. One has to get eight people to a port before the gate closes. The other has to get eight people to a house they have never seen, in two cars, in the dark. Everything else — the photos, the music, the questions you ask when they reply — comes after that.

Bachelorette party cruise or rural hotel: the invitation does different work

On a boat, the field that saves the day is the boarding time. "Saturday, 14:00, Lisbon port" kills the 11pm message asking where everyone is meeting. At a quinta, the field that saves the day is the address with a map you can tap: "doors at 18:00, 12 km past Évora" answers more than any line about the countryside. And each plan has its own anxious question. On the boat, people ask which documents to bring. At the house, they ask how many cars are coming. Answer the question that belongs to the plan you picked.

  • Port of departure, boarding time and when the gate closes — one field each.
  • Exact address with a map that opens, arrival time and where to park.
  • Boat: what goes in the bag you carry on and what stays ashore.
  • House: whether to bring towels, and who is doing the first breakfast shop.

What guests check on the invitation before they say yes

Nobody reads a paragraph twice on a phone. Label, names, date, one line and place belong in separate fields, with a character counter next to each one so nothing gets cut off on a small screen. The preview updates as you type, so you can see how the boarding time sits under the date before you send it to anyone.

On a cruise, you want the numbers settled early: cabins usually go as a block, and adding one at the last minute is a phone call you don't want to make. At a rural house, almost nobody confirms on the first ask, so put one extra question in the reply form — "Are you staying both nights?" or "Are you in for Friday dinner?" — and the list sorts itself. Confirmations arrive inside the invitation in one ordered list, so you're not counting heads by scrolling back through WhatsApp.

The boat needs a time. The house needs an address. Get those two right and the rest of the invitation falls into place.

Change the port or the entry time, keep the same link

Boats move piers and quintas move entry times. When that happens you edit the field and the link you already sent keeps working — nobody digs out an old message and nobody reprints anything. Dress code for a gala dinner, closed shoes for the countryside, a corrected map pin: all of it can be fixed the same way. Guests open the link in any browser, without installing anything, and see the current version. Pick a design, try the cover for free, and publish the digital invitation when the plan is settled. The same link does a cruise and a house at the end of a dirt road. It's 29.99 EUR, paid once, and it includes the link, the QR code and the replies in one place.
