Six o'clock on a west-facing terrace in Madrid, and the sun is still sitting on the table. Half the guests are standing in the doorway with a glass in one hand, squinting. The invitation only said “Ana's place”. Nothing about shade, nothing about when to arrive, which is the whole job of a baby shower terrace invitation template.

A terrace baby shower is decided by the terrace itself: where the shade falls, what time to arrive, when the cake comes out. Put those three in a digital invitation and the afternoon runs on its own.

A baby shower terrace invitation template starts with shade, hour and cake

If your terrace faces west, 6pm is the worst slot of the day. Write the hour and the shade in the same line: “6:30pm, under the porch; the sun drops around 7.” Then give the address something to hold on to — street, entrance, “automatic door, code 47” — and a map that opens from the invitation itself. Nobody should have to call you from the corner.

  • Hour with shade: “6:30pm on the porch; the sun drops at 7.”
  • Address with a landmark: “12 Olivo Street, entrance B, inside terrace — map in the invitation.”
  • Cake with a time: “Cake table at 7:15pm.”
  • One RSVP question worth asking: “Are you staying for the toast?”

The fields a terrace baby shower invitation can't skip

Start with the label. “Marta's baby shower”, not just “Baby shower” — guests should know whose afternoon it is at a glance. Then the names: the mother-to-be and whoever is hosting, plus “Saturday 14 June, 6:30pm”. The character counter keeps long names from spilling out of the frame, and one line of copy does the rest: “Come and celebrate before Julia arrives.” Add the dress code too, because a terrace at dusk is not a restaurant: “light colors, comfortable shoes”.

Photos are the other field people forget. You can upload up to six of your own — the empty terrace strung with lights, the bump, a test cake — and they frame themselves. Choose which one is the cover, and make the terrace at golden hour win over a close-up of the cake. Any photo can be swapped later without touching the rest.

An invitation that says where the shade falls, when the cake comes out and whose afternoon it is does most of the hosting for you.

RSVP without chasing anyone

Confirmations land inside the invitation itself, in one ordered list you open from your phone. You set the questions, so only ask the ones you will act on: “Are you staying for the toast?” “Will you be there by 6:30?” If the weather turns and everything moves indoors, you change the hour or the place and the link stays the same. Guests open it again and see the updated version. No resending, no reprinting.

The invitation is a web page of its own, not a PDF and not an image. You share it as a link, a QR code or a message, and guests reply from their browser without installing anything. If your grandmother wants paper, print a few copies for the people who will keep them; everyone else lives in the link. Pick a design, test the cover for free, and publish once shade, hour and cake line up.
