Baby Shower Invitations Without Alcohol in São Paulo
A baby shower without alcohol is a decision about timing, the table and the toast. Here is how to plan it, and how to say it on the invitation before anyone asks.

It is four in the afternoon in a São Paulo apartment and the table already shows what kind of party this is: two jugs, one with passionfruit and soda, one with hibiscus and lime, sweating next to a bowl of ice. The baby shower invitations without alcohol went out two weeks earlier, and the cover said "mocktail toast at 5:30". That one line settled it before anyone arrived.
A dry baby shower is not a quieter party. It is three decisions taken before the first guest rings the bell: what time you start, what sits on the table, and who raises a glass. Get those right and nobody asks where the prosecco is.
In São Paulo, a baby shower without alcohol starts with the hour
Start at 11:00 or 16:00 and people turn up hungry and thirsty in the ordinary way. A tall glass with ice and fruit fits the light, and the afternoon carries itself. Start at 21:00 and every guest walks in expecting a drink in their hand, whether or not you planned to serve one. Two jugs and plenty of ice hold an afternoon far better than a bar does, with less spending and fewer lifts home to arrange. If you are hosting in a small apartment or a hired room, put the window of time on the invitation: guests plan around it and stop arriving with a bottle under one arm.
- Two large jugs, one sparkling and one still, with enough ice to refill both twice.
- Tall glasses, not plastic cups, because the glass changes how the toast reads more than the recipe does.
- Fruit you can buy that week, passionfruit, lime or orange, cut and on the table instead of hidden in the kitchen.
- A fixed time for the toast, written on the invitation, with the name of the person who will speak.
Mocktails that don't look like juice
A mojito without rum (mint, lime, sugar, soda) or a tonic spritz with orange and a sprig of rosemary both work in a tall glass and read as a toast from across the room. In São Paulo, passionfruit lemonade with soda or grenadine with ginger ale will beat anything you buy pre-made.
Serve them in glass and label each jug with the name of the drink so nobody has to ask. Make one without sugar and one with, and keep the cut fruit where people can see it. The point is not to imitate a cocktail list. It is to make the glass worth lifting.

A toast without alcohol still needs three things: a time, a full glass and someone who stands up to say it.
Say it on the first line, not at the door
If the invitation says "mocktail toast" on the cover, nobody arrives with a bottle and nobody asks about the bar, and you owe no one a paragraph of explanation. Give a name to whoever will speak, the godmother, a friend, the grandmother, so the moment does not dissolve between the food table and the fridge. If a guest insists on bringing something, hand them a job: ice, cut fruit, a dessert. Pick the hour, the fruit and the person who raises a glass before you pick the decorations, then send a digital invitation that already carries the time, the place and the line about the toast. One link or QR code goes to everyone, guests reply inside the invitation in one ordered list, you choose which questions the form asks, and if you change the hour or the dress code afterwards the same link shows the new version, with nothing to resend.
