Madrid has a thousand settings for a baby shower, but the invitation is what gets everyone there on time. Where to hold it and how to tell people without chasing replies.

Your sister books a merendero in the Casa de Campo for a Saturday in July. Someone else thinks it's at a flat in Malasaña. By Thursday you're pasting three versions of the same message into four family chats, and nobody agrees on whether the cake is at five or six.

That is the actual job of baby shower invitations in Madrid: getting one set of details to everyone at the same time, so the day doesn't turn into a round of phone calls. The venue sets the tone. The invitation carries the facts.

Where you hold a baby shower in Madrid sets the tone

A tiled patio in Malasaña and a rooftop facing the sierra do not ask for the same invitation. Let the place pick the tone, then choose a design that matches it. Not the other way round.

  • Patio or a room in Chamberí: shade, tiles and a design that reads like a warm evening.
  • Rooftop with a view of the sierra: note the lift, the floor, and whether it cools down after sunset.
  • Merendero in the Casa de Campo or a country house forty minutes out: say who's in the shade and who's in the sun. In July that decides the afternoon.
  • Anyone driving in from Getafe, Alcorcón or Las Rozas needs the exact address and parking more than a balloon colour.

Time, map and dress code: the three questions everyone asks

Write the start time and the cake time in numbers. People book babysitters and parking around those two, not around 'in the afternoon'.

A map link that opens on a phone answers more than 'near Retiro'. Add the room name, the floor and the exact door. And one line on dress code — 'earth tones', or 'comfy, there's grass' — saves you the last-minute message asking what to wear.

A venue in Madrid can be a patio, a rooftop or a merendero. The invitation is the only thing that has to be the same for everyone.

Colour first, typography second

Pick two colours and hold them across the invitation, the tablecloth, the cake and the flowers. Mauve with sage green works as well in a patio as in a room in Chamberí.

Photos do the work of a lot of decoration. Use the scan as the cover, or a photo of the two of you, and place up to six images across the scenes. If the sex is a surprise, a neutral palette — beige, terracotta, grey-blue — settles the design without telling anyone anything.

Telling thirty people without opening thirty chats

Drop the link in the family group and in the friends group. That's it. Nobody has to confirm one by one in private, and replies land inside the invitation in one ordered list. The questions on the RSVP form are yours to set.

If the hour or the venue changes, you edit the invitation and the same link shows the new version. No re-sending, and nobody left holding the old details.

The digital invitation covers everyone. For your grandmother, or for the album, print two or three copies and keep them. No envelope to open twice, no reprint when a detail changes. Pick the venue in Madrid, set the hour and the map, add your photos, and try it free before you decide. It's €29.99 per invitation, one payment, no subscription, and the texts can be set in Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian, Portuguese and German.
